The next leg of my journey took me to the University of Cape Town (UCT) where I was employed by the Supporting Emerging Enterprises Programme (SEE), an joint initiative with Wharton Business School aimed add supporting new small and meduim sized enterprises in South Africa. During this time I completed an MBA with the Graduate School of Business of UCT. My MBA was focussed on MIS and Corporate Strategy.
I joined the Management Consulting Division of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1998. I was active in the Strategic Change service line and specialised in ERP and CRM related systems implementation projects at a number of the firm's top tier clients.
At the end of 1999 I was offered a unique opportunity to teach on the faculty of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in the UAE. The HCT is a system of 11 colleges providing higher education to UAE nationals. In particular, am privileged to to participate in the development of an exiting experiential learning programme that focus on E-commerce.
A by-product of this sabbatical from my consulting career is that it allows me to complete a PhD and I am now spending (too much!) time with Walden University in the US to reach this goal.
